做厙輦⑹ (LSCO) is proud to announce the appointment of Leanna Odom as Vice President for Finance and Operations / Chief Financial Officer (CFO). With more than 29 years of experience in her field, Odom brings extensive financial expertise and a deep commitment to higher education. She joined LSCO in April 2023 as Vice President of Business Services, a Texas State University System shared services position, and quickly became a valued part of the LSCO leadership team.

Her dedication and depth of experience have already made a significant impact on LSCO, said Dr. Wendy Elmore, LSCO President. Her commitment to excellence and her passion for serving students made her an outstanding choice for CFO, and I am grateful to have her as part of our leadership team.

Odom is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a double major in Accounting and Finance in 1995. She went on to earn a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in leadership from Lamar University in 2020 and a Master of Science in Accounting from Texas A&M Commerce in 2024.

Being promoted to CFO and getting to serve LSCO in this capacity is truly an honor, Odom said. Less than nine years ago, I took a leap of faith by leaving public accounting and entering higher education. Being a lover of learning myself, I found my home in higher education. Serving as CFO is the culmination of many years of serving in whatever opportunity I was presented.  I look forward to continuing to grow and learn just as our students do.

Odom credits her time at LSCO with shaping her both personally and professionally. For over two years, I have gotten to know numerous people in the LSCO family, she said. It was obvious to me early on that they strive for excellence in their endeavors, which meant I had found a good fit!

Her transition into the CFO role has been a natural progression, thanks to her close work with LSCOs finance and operations teams in her previous position. Serving LSCO in this capacity is no easy feat, but it is a challenge that I continue to rise to on a daily basis, Odom said. I have a great team to serve with, and the support of my current President, Dr. Elmore, helps me rise to the occasion.

In addition to her leadership role at LSCO, Odom currently serves as co-chair for the Accounting Principles Committee for the Texas Association of College and University Business Officers (TACUBO).
