The ABC's of Salvation:

A is for ALL have Sinned. Romans 3:23
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."

B is for BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus. Acts 16:31
"...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved..."

C is for CLAIM Eternal Life. I John 5:13
"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of                                                         God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life,..."

Salvation is so simple that most children readily understand God's formula but typically adults add many things to that. They try to get the lost person to beg Jesus to come in them, or repeat some type of prayer.

Over 46 times in the New Testament there are passages of verses, including examples of people getting saved where the only requirement is to believe on Jesus, God's Son.

Often all the additions do is confuse and leave the lost person thinking they are saved by their works or what they have done. Instead they are still lost but think they are headed to heaven.

Do you have God's free gift of eternal life that you received only by believing in the Lord Jesus?

***************

If you are mentally saying that salvation is not that simple and have heard messages that have added much, even works to the Blessed Gospel of Grace, let me suggest a study of the 13 or more accounts where someone was saved in the New Testament.

You will be amzed to discover that the formula above holds exactly true in each case. The Bible is not to be forced into agreeing with what someone thinks or even teaches but rather is the standard to judge those human teachings. When you do research those accounts ask the following question using only the passage itself.

1. Did the person turn from his/her sin to be saved?

2. Did the person pray "to receive Christ?"

3. Did anyone pray at that time?
